GrabFood Malaysia has expanded its Saver Delivery option to additional cities nationwide starting yesterday, with the aim of enhancing affordability and accessibility for Malaysians.
Saver Delivery is an option that allows users to enjoy delivery fees from as low as RM1 on a wide range of restaurants on GrabFood in exchange for a slightly longer delivery time.
First piloted in November 2022, it involves grouping orders in the same direction as a delivery partner’s travel. Delivery partners will be compensated the same as other delivery options.
The expansion of Saver Delivery also introduces Direct Delivery, which provides a shorter delivery time for consumers who are in a rush to receive their orders. These new options, together with the ability to schedule orders and opt for self-pickup, aim to provide consumers with a wide range of convenient options for getting their meals.
Jiong Jian Tan, Director of Commercial and Deliveries at Grab Malaysia, says the company aimed to serve even more Malaysians across the country and bring them accessible convenience that suits their lifestyle. GrabFood’s revamped delivery options aim to benefit the delivery and merchant partners by providing additional income opportunities and safeguarding the ecosystem’s sustainability.
“We are committed to continue enhancing our service to provide value added solutions to all within the ecosystem who depend on the platform. And through this, we hope that we’re able to safeguard its sustainability – continuing to provide affordable convenience to consumers and as a source of earning opportunity for merchants and delivery-partners” concludes Tan.
