Huawei has been named a Leader in Gartner’s latest Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Storage, reflecting its growing strength in AI-ready, secure, and multicloud data infrastructure. The report evaluated storage platforms designed to support structured and unstructured data workloads, helping enterprises modernize IT operations.
Gartner highlighted Huawei’s FlashEver STaaS and OceanStor portfolio — including the Dorado and Pacific series — for their focus on cyber resilience, hybrid cloud integration, and AI-driven management. The company’s clients span major enterprise sectors such as government, finance, telecommunications, ICT, and manufacturing, with operations across China, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Recent product advances include the OceanStor Dorado V7 with SAN ransomware protection, the OceanStor A800 for AI large-model workloads, and 17 new SLAs. Huawei’s DME Intelligent Quality (DME IQ) platform was also recognized for enhancing risk mitigation and fault isolation through AI.
However, Gartner cautioned that Huawei faces geopolitical trust challenges in markets such as the U.S. and U.K., a steep learning curve for new users, and reliance on third-party intermediaries due to U.S. sanctions. Despite these, Huawei maintains a 99.99% SLA and continues to expand its AI-driven storage ecosystem globally.
