On June 23, 2025, Indonesian businessman Paulus Tannos, accused in the Rp2.3 trillion e-KTP corruption scandal, appeared in a Singapore court for an extradition hearing, the first under the Singapore-Indonesia treaty effective since March 21, 2024. Tannos, a former PT Sandipala Arthaputra director, allegedly bribed officials with US$4.33 million to secure the 2011 project tender. Arrested in January and requested for extradition on February 24, his defense challenged document authenticity. The hearing, ongoing until June 25, will decide if he faces trial in Indonesia, with evidence presented by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau.
