International SOS, InvestKL Explore ESG Opportunities

KUALA LUMPUR, 24 MARCH 2023 – International SOS, the leading global security and health services company, recently held a productive meeting with InvestKL, led by CEO Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli, in London.

The meeting aimed to fortify the relationship between the two organizations, showcase joint achievements, share plans and innovations, and emphasize International SOS’ continued interest in investing in Malaysia. The two leadership teams exchanged ideas on Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) and sustainability-focused business activities, as International SOS explores future opportunities in these areas.

Malaysia also guarantees foreign investors that there is now no more political instability and they can expect a more progressive and dynamic investment approach from the current Unity Government.

The visit followed International SOS’ recent receipt of the ‘Top 3 Realized Investment by Value’ award at InvestKL’s 2022 Performance Update and Award Ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.

InvestKL and High-Impact Investments

Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli, CEO of InvestKL, highlighted the importance of high-level meetings for securing RM35 billion in high-impact investments by 2030 in digital economy, ideation, innovation, and regional centers of excellence.

Jing Tan, Regional General Manager and Director of South East Asia at International SOS, expressed gratitude for InvestKL’s support and the organization’s excitement for operating in the heart of Southeast Asia. He also mentioned International SOS’ plans for expanding in the digital space, investing in technology for TeleHealth, and embedding digital innovations in its solutions.

With InvestKL’s support, International SOS has achieved significant milestones, such as relocating its Asia Medical Services Regional Operational Headquarters to Kuala Lumpur and establishing a new Global Shared Services Centre.
