The funds will fuel expansion by building new swiftlet houses and revitalising underperforming ones to meet surging demand, particularly from China, the world’s largest bird’s nest importer. CEO Mak Wai Kit hailed the milestone as a boost for Malaysia’s bird’s nest industry, thanking investors, MyCIF and Ata Plus.
Supported by MyCIF’s 1:2 co-investment scheme, the campaign underscores growing confidence in sustainable agribusiness. Ata Plus CEO Elain Lockman noted strong investor interest in high-potential ventures amid a global market projected to hit USD14.9 billion by 2032.
