Kelantan Offers Affordable Electric Motorcycles with Rent-to-Own Program

Kelantan Utilities Mubaarakan Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (KUMH), a subsidiary of the Kelantan State Government Corporation (PMBK), is now offering electric motorcycles (EV) to the people of Kelantan at below-market prices. This program, launched in collaboration with Standard Energy Asia Sdn. Bhd. (SEASB) as the supplier, aims to make it easier for the people of Kelantan to own an EV motorcycle.

Dr. Ahmad Zaharuddin Sani Ahmad Sabri, the Executive Director of SEASB, explained that the offer includes a Rent to Own (RTO) program specifically for the people of Kelantan. This RTO program does not involve bank financing or interest charges. Instead, Kelantan residents can pay in monthly installments over three years, after which the motorcycle will become their property.

In the initial phase, SEASB is providing 20 electric motorcycles at a special price and offering a five percent rebate to Kelantan State Government employees. Interested individuals can contact KUMH directly, and if documentation is complete, delivery can be made within a month. SEASB also aims to sell between 100 and 150 units in the first year and plans to offer affordable motorcycle rentals for students.
