In Tumpat, Kelantan, police are pursuing four suspects who kidnapped a 44-year-old gold shop owner in Palekbang on May 20. The state police chief, Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mamat, stated that two suspects have been identified, and a special task force is tracking them with roadblocks set up across the state to locate a grey car used in the incident. The victim was released hours after the kidnapping, and investigations continue to determine the motive. The case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code, which carries up to seven years in prison and a fine. A viral video showed the suspects blocking the victim’s vehicle and forcing him into their car.
