PETALING JAYA: KK Supermart Group signed an MoU with the Samarkand region’s government to promote economic activities, coinciding with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Uzbekistan.
The MoU, signed by KK Supermart Group founder Datuk Seri Dr K K Chai and Samarkand’s deputy governor Oybek Erkinovich Khodjaev, aims to strengthen trade and investment between Malaysia and Uzbekistan.
“Such investments not only provide essential financial support for business activities but also introduce advanced management expertise and technological innovation, injecting vitality into economic growth.
“Ultimately, this will promote bilateral trade relations and economic cooperation, leading to shared prosperity and sustainable development,” Chai says.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including Malaysia’s Foreign Affairs Minister and Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister.
Chai highlighted the benefits of fostering international trade and investment, which include enhanced business opportunities and employment for Malaysia.
