Malaysia strengthens its position in Asian pickleball as the Leapmotor APP Penang Open 2026 launches in Penang, highlighting sports innovation, community engagement, sustainable mobility and regional development.
Malaysia has strengthened its standing in the regional pickleball scene after the Association of Pickleball Players (APP) selected the country as the permanent home of its new Asia Headquarters. The decision is highlighted by the Leapmotor APP Penang Open 2026, which will take place from July 22 to 26 at Pickle By The Sea, Gurney Drive, Penang.
More than a competitive tournament, the event is designed to offer an engaging lifestyle experience for players and visitors of all skill levels. Organisers have planned premium hospitality, interactive fan zones and community-focused activities to encourage participation and strengthen connections both on and off the court.
Supporting the tournament as title sponsor is Leapmotor, China’s fastest-growing new energy vehicle startup brand. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to innovation, accessibility and sustainability while promoting active lifestyles through sport.
The collaboration will also showcase the Leapmotor B10, an intelligent electric vehicle built on the LEAP3.5 platform with Cell-to-Chassis 2.0+ technology. The model offers a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 434 kilometres, charging from 30% to 80% in under 20 minutes and a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating.
Stellantis ASEAN said the partnership demonstrates shared values of innovation, performance and forward-thinking mobility.
