Makeshift Bombs Discovered After Car Park Explosion Scattered Nails in Nilai

An early morning explosion in the Desa Palma apartment car park in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, on December 22 left scattered nails, damaged vehicles and led to the discovery of three suspected improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Residents were startled by the blast around 7am, believed to have originated from a vehicle. Police, responding to reports, found the IEDs in a nearby residential unit and located the suspect vehicle 250 metres away containing explosive materials. No injuries were reported in official statements. Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad urged the public not to speculate and to provide information. The case is investigated under the Explosive Substances Act and Penal Code, with efforts ongoing to apprehend suspects.
