Mayank Dhingra, HP’s Director and Global Head of Education Business
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 — The 2025 HP Futures Report has called on Malaysia and governments worldwide to adopt a mandatory Global AI in Education Charter to ensure ethical, safe, and inclusive classroom technology.
The landmark report, produced by HP, T4 Education, and the Global Learning Council, gathered insights from over 100 global experts and surveyed 2,860 students across 21 countries. Findings show that over 60% of students use AI daily for research, while 71% support limits on AI use in education.
Mayank Dhingra, HP’s Director and Global Head of Education Business, urged policymakers worldwide, including Malaysia, to place students and educators at the centre of AI in education for effective, future-ready learning.
The Charter proposes strict standards for data privacy, learner data ownership, environmental sustainability, and bans on exploitative practices. It also urges governments to involve educators and students in AI policy design and to overhaul curricula for future-ready skills.
Recommendations will be presented to education ministers at the World Schools Summit in Abu Dhabi on November 15–16, 2025.
