Maxim Malaysia Upgrades SOS Feature to Strengthen Passenger Safety
KUALA LUMPUR, 4 November 2025 – Maxim Malaysia has strengthened its in-app safety measures by upgrading its SOS feature, enabling users to add up to three emergency contacts. In emergencies, the feature automatically sends notifications, SMS, and phone calls to selected contacts for immediate assistance.
The e-hailing provider also allows passengers to share live trip tracking links with family or friends for real-time monitoring.
To further protect privacy, communication between drivers and passengers remains confined to the in-app chat system.
According to Mohd Hazwan Musley, Director of Maxim Malaysia, the upgrade underscores the company’s commitment to ensuring every ride is safe and reliable. With ongoing driver verification, route monitoring, and emergency support systems, Maxim continues to reinforce passenger trust and prioritize community safety.
