Maxis first telco to offer GPU-as-a-Service

Maxis, Malaysia’s leading integrated telco, will offer cloud-based graphics processing units-as-a-service (GPUaaS) to Malaysian customers.

As part of Maxis Business’ cloud and managed services portfolio, GPUaaS provides businesses with easy access to powerful graphics processing units (GPUs) for advanced artificial intelligence (AI) training and inferencing applications.

GPU – Cost-effective

Maxis’ GPUaaS is a cost-effective way for customers to quickly deploy high-performance capabilities essential for intensive processing workloads such as AI, machine learning and deep learning. GPUaaS eliminates the need for businesses to invest in costly GPU hardware or maintain complex infrastructure.

At Launch, the service will be powered by NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPU-powered clusters.

Goh Seow Eng, CEO of Maxis says: “We are pleased to be the first telco in Malaysia to provide GPUaaS, enabling high-performance computing and data processing on-demand. Businesses will have the flexibility to scale their resources when needed for more complex workloads such as AI, machine learning, 3D modelling and large-scale analytics. As Malaysia’s leading integrated telco, we will continue to make it simpler for customers to leverage the best of connectivity and digital solutions, so they can focus on growing their business.”
