Perodua unveiled its near-production EV prototype at Malaysia Autoshow 2025, set for a Q4 2025 launch. The EV, featuring a 50kWh CATL LFP battery, offers a 400km range, 0-100km/h in under 7 seconds, and a 165km/h top speed. It includes ADAS L2 and targets a 5-star A-NCAP rating. Priced under RM80,000 with a battery leasing option, buyers can lease the battery separately or purchase it outright. Leasing ensures free battery replacements after the 8-year warranty. Initially producing 500 units monthly, Perodua plans to scale up to 2,000 units, transitioning to mass production.
