PIKOM Launches Cutting-Edge Ethical AI Framework for Industry
PIKOM, Malaysia’s National Tech Association, has introduced the “7 by 7” Policy and Characteristic (P&C) framework, aimed at promoting ethical AI development and usage.
The framework emphasizes seven key guiding policies, such as fairness and transparency, along with supporting characteristics like informed consent and continuous monitoring.
It proposes independent third-party reviews and regular revisions to ensure adherence to the outlined policies, acknowledging the evolving nature of AI technology.
This initiative underscores the group’s commitment to fostering a culture of ethical AI practices in Malaysia’s technology industry, aligning with the National AI-Roadmap 2021-2025 and providing feedback to MOSTI on the AI Governance and Ethics Framework (AIGE).
