Plug and Play Supports the Future Malaysia Programme

Plug and Play, a global innovation platform, has announced plans to establish a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in support of the Future Malaysia Programme.

The initiative is backed by sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Berhad and aims to accelerate the growth of Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem.

Plug and Play and Startups

Plug and Play will collaborate with leading corporations and high-potential startups worldwide through its accelerator programme, focusing on areas such as Digital Society & Technology Hub, Sustainability & Climate Resilience, and Food Security & Agriculture.

The programme seeks to transform technologies with stakeholder involvement, benefiting startups, corporations, investors, and governments.

Startups from around the world will have the opportunity to participate, pilot, scale, and commercialize solutions in Malaysia, aligned with the programme themes.

Plug and Play and Innovation

Prominent Malaysian corporates, including CelcomDigi and Sime Darby Plantation, have joined the programme, with more partners expected to come on board. The initiative also aims to incubate corporate best practices and early-stage investment capabilities.

The Future Malaysia Programme, scheduled for launch in the latter half of 2023, invites startups and corporate partners to participate, fostering innovation and synergy between startups and corporates.

It provides an avenue for collaboration, exploration of new solutions, and the shaping of Malaysia’s technological landscape. Plug and Play’s presence and extensive network of startups worldwide position them to contribute to Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem and support the country’s economic growth.
