PLUS Surpasses EV Charger Target, Plans Malaysia’s First Highway EV Hub by 2027

PLUS Malaysia Berhad has installed 112 EV charging points along its highways as of June 30, surpassing its year-end target of 100. The chargers, located at R&Rs, lay-bys and petrol stations, support the government’s goal of 1,000 fast-charging points by 2025. PLUS managing director Datuk Nik Airina Nik Jaffar said charger usage is rising in line with growing EV adoption. The company plans to launch Malaysia’s first Highway EV Hub at Seremban R&R by early 2027 and expand to 350 chargers by 2028. All units are fast chargers with universal CCS2 connectors.
