Radium Healthcare Sdn Bhd, the healthcare arm of Radium Group (KLSE: RADIUM), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manipal University College Malaysia (MUCM) to collaborate on clinical training, research, and healthcare education in Melaka. The partnership supports the development of Radium’s new tertiary hospital, Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh – a purpose-built 140-bed centre scheduled to open in 2028, addressing local and regional healthcare needs.
The MoU was formalised at MUCM’s campus, where it was signed by Radium Group Managing Director Datuk Gary Gan and MUCM Chief Operating Officer Mr. Gaurav Rekhi.
Radium Healthcare’s ethos is guided by the principle of “Building Good, Living Well”, placing community health, patient-first care, and ethical medical practice at the heart of its operations. Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh will focus on trauma, cardiac, and neonatal care, as well as infertility services, responding to rising demand locally and regionally. Melaka’s population, now approximately one million, faces an increasing burden of non-communicable diseases and an aging demographic, in line with national healthcare challenges.
