KUALA LUMPUR – Retail management solution provider Silentmode Sdn. Bhd. has announced that FIVE Petroleum Malaysia (FIVE) has joined its RONPOS platform, making it the company’s fourth local fuel retail client alongside PETRONAS, Shell, and BHPetrol.
The announcement was made during the FuelForward 2026 conference in Kuala Lumpur, officiated by Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Chairman Ganesh Kumar Bangah. Silentmode disclosed that RONPOS now powers 2,600 stations across Malaysia and over 50 stations in Singapore. The company also completed its third proof-of-concept project in the Philippines following a successful pilot with EcoOil.

As part of the deployment, FIVE becomes the first retailer to introduce two new platform features: MiniPOS, a mobile device enabling forecourt pump authorization and payments, and Multiplatform, which supports hardware across various operating systems to reduce ownership costs.
Silentmode Chief Executive Officer Reza Razali highlighted ongoing regional expansion efforts, noting that technical reliability and dedicated customer support remain central to their strategy. Additionally, the company revealed it is developing self-checkout kiosks targeted for launch by late 2027 to address labor shortages facing fuel retailers.
First launched in 2018, RONPOS has evolved into an all-in-one ecosystem managing forecourt operations, inventory, and convenience store systems. The platform previously received the Malaysia Digital Acceleration Grant from MDEC in 2024 to support its technological development.
