chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi
Sabah BN unveiled a six-thrust development manifesto promising to resolve the state’s long-standing infrastructure issues within a single term. Its chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the coalition, despite calling itself an underdog in the Nov 29 state election, aims to present commitments that are actionable rather than political rhetoric. The manifesto, Rancangan Pembangunan Sabah Satu (RPS1), focuses on core problems such as water supply, road quality and electricity reliability. Zahid emphasised that these remain top priorities for Sabahans and pledged full implementation if BN secures the mandate.
He also highlighted that the federal government allocated the largest share of the 2026 Budget to Sabah, signalling strong development backing. BN is contesting 45 of the 73 seats, with 81 percent new candidates. Zahid urged the BN machinery to intensify voter outreach to ensure the manifesto’s goals are widely understood ahead of early voting on Nov 25.
