OpenAI and Nvidia
SINGAPORE, June 27, 2025 — Investigations into three men—Singaporeans Aaron Woon Guo Jie, 40, and Alan Wei Zhaolun, 49, and Chinese national Li Ming, 51—accused of fraud involving US$390 million in Nvidia chips are ongoing. Charged four months ago, the trio did not attend a recent hearing where prosecutors requested an eight-week adjournment due to incomplete police investigations. Despite 10 interviews and ongoing evidence collection, only 35 of 53 electronic devices have been examined. Woon and Wei face charges for conspiring to defraud Dell and Super Micro, while Li is accused of defrauding Super Micro and unauthorized OCBC account access. The case is adjourned to August 22.
