Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, 15 February 2024 – Sunway Berhad, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Sunway Developments Pte Ltd in a joint venture with Hoi Hup Realty Pte Ltd, has won a new Executive Condominium (EC) site at Tengah Plantation Close in Tengah New Town.
The bid amounted to SGD423.38 million (approximately MYR1.5 billion), and is the second successful bid after the joint venture won another EC site at Tengah Plantation Close in September 2023.
The new EC site spans 20,038.2 sqm with a maximum permissible gross floor area of 56,107 sqm. Strategically located within walking distance of the upcoming Tengah Park MRT station on the Jurong Regional Line, the 99-year leasehold plot is also well-connected to other parts of Singapore via the Pan Island Expressway (PIE).
In addition, the site is close to education institutes such as ACS (Primary) and Princess Elizabeth Primary School; as well as lifestyle and recreational facilities such as JEM, Westgate, and IMM malls offering abundant shopping, dining, and entertainment options.
The site benefits not only from its location within the upcoming Tengah New Town but also from its proximity to the neighbouring Jurong Lake District and Jurong Innovation District.
Envisioned as a model town for smart and sustainable living, Tengah will be planned with smart technologies town-wide, with a focus on green features and community-centric spaces.
Jurong Lake District redefines working, living, and playing with convivial plazas, intimate public spaces, lush lakefront greenery, and native fauna, while Jurong Innovation District aims to locate the next-generation high-tech, cutting-edge digital tech and manufacturing business and community.
