On May 30, 2024, Huatu Education Group and the UKM signed an agreement to establish the ASEAN College at UKM.
The partnership aims to provide high-quality education and training to both domestic and international students, addressing the demand for skilled professionals by Chinese enterprises and promoting educational cooperation between China and Malaysia. Huatu will handle the investment and construction, while UKM will offer facilities and instructional support.
The college will implement advanced educational methods, awarding globally recognized degrees to graduates. This collaboration aims to enhance UKM’s international reputation and foster China-Malaysia educational, economic, and cultural exchanges.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to create a training and teaching hub at UKM specifically designed to prepare employees. This initiative is expected to elevate UKM’s international reputation and influence.
