UMW Toyota Motor Records Steady February Sales, Expands Hybrid Line-Up

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) recorded 4,856 units in February 2026, bringing year-to-date sales to 9,556 units. The steady performance reflects strong demand across core models, supported by refreshed offerings and Toyota’s nationwide dealer and aftersales network.

Hybrid expansion remains central to UMWT’s strategy. The Vios Hybrid, Vios HEV GR Sport, Corolla Cross HEV GR Sport, Vellfire HEV, and Harrier HEV highlight Toyota’s Multi-Pathway approach, introducing electrification progressively across sedan, SUV, and MPV segments.

Ravindran K., President of UMWT, said the company’s strategy ensures customers are not confined to a single solution, aligning product expansion with reliable ownership support.

February also saw the opening of the Prima Pearl 4S Centre in Penang, enhancing service capacity in the northern region. Complementary programmes such as Toyota Service Savers and Toyota Extend further strengthen customer confidence.
