Vertiv opened its Johor manufacturing facility to expand AI infrastructure production, strengthen regional supply chains, accelerate customer deployments, and create up to 500 skilled jobs by 2027..
Vertiv has officially opened a new manufacturing facility in Senai, Johor, expanding its regional production capacity to meet rising demand for AI and digital infrastructure across Asia.
The approximately 236,000-square-foot facility will serve customers in Southeast Asia, North Asia, Australia, and New Zealand by providing manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and deployment support for advanced power, cooling, and integrated infrastructure solutions.
Vertiv CEO Giordano Albertazzi said the investment strengthens the company’s ability to deliver critical infrastructure with greater speed, scale, quality, and resilience as AI computing requirements continue to grow.
He noted that the new site forms part of Vertiv’s long-term manufacturing expansion strategy to support customers deploying increasingly sophisticated AI infrastructure.
The Johor plant will manufacture advanced thermal management and power solutions, including liquid cooling systems, prefabricated power modules, and integrated infrastructure designed to accelerate data center deployment.
The facility also features automated production processes, comprehensive testing capabilities, and validation environments that meet global quality and ISO standards.
When fully operational in 2027, the facility is expected to create up to 500 skilled jobs. Invest Johor CEO Natazha Hariss said the investment reinforces Johor’s position as a strategic hub for digital infrastructure and advanced manufacturing while creating long-term opportunities for local talent and industry development.
