Volvo Car Malaysia Achieves Record EV Sales in 2024
Volvo Car Malaysia set a new record in its fully electric vehicle (BEV) segment, which made up 30% of total sales in 2024, an 18% increase from the previous year. BEV and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models accounted for 83% of total sales.
The company sold 1,953 cars, with mild-hybrid (MHEV) models making up less than a fifth of sales. The new Volvo EX30 was well received, with the first batch selling out before local assembly. Volvo’s global sales grew by 8%, with electrified models making up 46% of total sales.
