Worldwide Holdings Makes RM2 Million Zakat Payment

Shah Alam, 25 Feb 2026 – Worldwide Holdings Berhad, a conglomerate and subsidiary of Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), has fulfilled its obligation to pay business zakat amounting to RM2,000,000 to Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) for the financial year 2026 (haul 2025).

Worldwide Holding’s Zakat Contribution

The zakat contribution was formally presented by Worldwide Holdings Group Chief Executive Officer, Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria, to His Royal Highness the Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah during the Majlis Ihya Ramadan DYMM Sultan Selangor Bersama Rakyat 2026M/1447H, held today at Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in Shah Alam.

According to Datin Paduka Norazlina, “Since the beginning of our operations, Worldwide Holdings has consistently prioritized the payment of business zakat with the intention of seeking blessings for the company’s annual income, while also fulfilling our duty and commitment as a local business entity. We hope this contribution will assist LZS in realizing and strengthening its plans, particularly in advancing the socio-economic development of the people of Selangor.”

Commitment to Selangor’s Socio-Economic Development

In line with LZS’s role, Worldwide Holdings also remains committed to supporting the state’s socio-economic development through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, Worldwide Prihatin. Among the latest initiatives planned in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan are community outreach programmes to distribute aid to underprivileged asnaf families around project operation areas, as well as contributions to mosques and suraus.

Worldwide Holdings has also allocated funds to implement education-focused programmes in collaboration with Yayasan Raja Muda Selangor (YRMS), in addition to working with Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Selangor (PPAS) to organize book festivals.

“In line with Education as one of the core pillars of our Worldwide Prihatin CSR programme, we hope these initiatives will encourage more active involvement from Worldwide Holdings in improving the standard and quality of life of the people through education, particularly in Selangor. We believe that sustained investment in education not only opens up greater opportunities for the younger generation, but also serves as a catalyst for developing competitive and sustainable human capital,” Datin Paduka Norazlina added.
