Accor Expands Presence in Malaysia with Two New Hotels
Accor has announced plans to introduce two new hotels in Malaysia, marking the debut of the Grand Mercure brand and adding an ibis Styles location in Kuala Lumpur.
The Grand Mercure will be Malaysia’s first, offering 325 rooms and a range of amenities including a restaurant, fitness center, and versatile meeting spaces.
The ibis Styles, located in Bukit Bintang, will feature 168 rooms and cater to design-focused, affordable accommodation.
Both hotels are set to open in the first half of 2025. This expansion aligns with Accor’s strategy to enhance its Premium, Midscale, and Economy segments across Asia.
“We remain committed to our expansion strategy with a clear roadmap to strengthen our presence in Asia,” said Garth Simmons, Accor’s Asia Premium, Midscale, and Economy COO.
