Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reiterated the government’s firm stance against corruption, assuring that no one—whether from the government, opposition, or former leaders—will be shielded. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 2025 Perak Madani Rakyat Programme in Lumut Waterfront, Anwar emphasized that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has full autonomy to investigate and arrest anyone, provided there is evidence of wrongdoing. “Arrest anyone, even daily, I don’t care. Government or opposition, active or retired—if they steal, arrest them,” he declared, underscoring his commitment to upholding justice and transparency in Malaysia.
