CIMB and PayNet Launch First Payment Terminal with Automated E-Invoice Capability

CIMB Bank, in collaboration with Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet), has introduced Malaysia’s first payment terminal with automated e-invoice functionality, targeting small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The innovation simplifies invoicing and ensures compliance with Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) e-invoicing mandates.

Key features include:

• Automated e-invoice creation and delivery.

• Built-in Point-Of-Sale (POS) functionality, which integrates seamlessly with existing POS systems.

• Real-time voice alerts for secure card and QR code transactions.

• Itemized billing for enhanced transparency.

The pilot program is underway with a full rollout expected by Q2 2025, streamlining compliance and boosting operational efficiency for SMEs.
