KUALA LUMPUR, 29 September 2025 – Edelteq Holdings Berhad has launched Halovision System Sdn. Bhd., a joint venture with Halo Technologies Sdn. Bhd., to pioneer advanced Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) systems for the global semiconductor sector. Kumpulan Modal Perdana Sdn. Bhd. (KMP), a government-backed VC firm, is investing up to RM3.2 million to fuel development of the Raptor series for substrate panel inspection and i-Falke series for wafer-level inspection, plus working capital.
Chin Yong Keong, Edelteq’s Group CEO, hailed the partnership as a confidence booster for Halovision’s vision, aiming to elevate Malaysia’s semiconductor innovation. KMP’s CIO, Lee Hui-Ni, emphasized nurturing local tech talent to bolster the nation’s electronics value chain. Halovision CEO John Moon underscored the combined expertise to deliver cutting-edge solutions globally.
This collaboration aligns with Malaysia’s National Semiconductor Strategy, fostering talent, upgrading value chains, and positioning the country as a key global player in high-tech ecosystems.
