IMF and Putrajaya - Same wave length?
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim reaffirmed the government’s commitment to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through enhanced financing and innovation support. He said the initiatives, including additional guarantees and digitalisation programmes, are key to ensuring Malaysia remains a trusted regional investment hub.
Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, stressed the need for SMEs to embrace technology, artificial intelligence, and automation to stay competitive globally. He urged local businesses not to remain complacent, noting that technological adoption is now essential for survival.
The government’s ongoing SME initiatives are part of Malaysia’s broader strategy to drive inclusive and sustainable growth while strengthening its position as an attractive investment destination.
