KFC and Pizza Hut Now Champions Education for Underserved Students

PETALING JAYA, 15 MAY 2024 – QSR Brands, operating KFC Malaysia and Pizza Hut Malaysia, launched “Kempen Sehati” to tackle child hunger and education disparities among underprivileged students.

Backed by a RM2 million pledge, the campaign aims to provide food and educational support to 1,400 underserved students across 28 schools in Malaysia, including Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.

Partnering with Charity Right under the Feed to Educate programme, the initiative focuses on increasing school attendance and improving grades through monthly food packages.

QSR Brands’ leadership emphasized their commitment to community engagement and nation-building, aiming to empower young minds and break the cycle of poverty.

The initiative aligns with their long-standing efforts in community development, including KFC’s Add Hope and Feeding Programme and Pizza Hut’s support for cancer patients. The announcement highlighted the importance of collaboration in promoting social cohesion and reducing inequality.
