Malaysia’s long-awaited Electric Train Service (ETS) between KL Sentral and JB Sentral officially kicks off on 12 December 2025 after a media preview run departed Kuala Lumpur just before dawn on 11 December. The train arrived at Kempas Baru station at 10 am, greeted by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim. The project is a “new milestone” for Johor, noting the state’s economic performance has overtaken Penang and Selangor.
