The report praises Malaysia’s affordability, modern infrastructure, and multicultural appeal, noting low rental costs in Kuala Lumpur (US$300–500/month) and cheap dining (US$2–3/meal). Cities like Penang and Melaka offer even lower costs and a relaxed vibe. The “Malaysia My Second Home” visa and tropical climate further enhance its retiree-friendly status. Panama leads the index, followed by Portugal, Costa Rica, Mexico, France, Spain, Greece, and Italy
