KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 — A recent study by Randstad reveals that 35% of Malaysian workers have not received financial support to cope with inflation, leading many to seek new employment.
The Randstad 2024 Employer Brand Research highlights that dissatisfaction with work-life balance, career growth limitations, and salary concerns are driving job changes among Malaysians.
The study found that dissatisfaction with work-life balance is the leading factor, with 48% of respondents citing it as their primary reason for considering a job switch.
Additionally, 37% of workers expressed a desire for roles offering greater responsibilities and promotion opportunities, while 34% pointed to low pay and rising living costs as their motivation for seeking new employment.
The findings underscore the critical impact of work-life balance on job satisfaction and retention for Malaysian workers, emphasizing the need for employers to address these concerns to retain talent.
