MEASAT Names John Loke as Chief Technology Officer

MEASAT Global Berhad, Malaysia’s leading spacetech solutions provider, has appointed John Loke as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company’s innovation and regional growth strategies.

In his new role, John will oversee MEASAT’s digital transformation, satellite and network engineering, IT operations, and technical aspects of satellite and launch procurement. He will also spearhead AI-driven solutions and multi-orbit strategies to strengthen the company’s market position.

John brings over a decade of experience at MEASAT, including leadership roles in Network Engineering & Operations and Customer Engineering, contributing to key projects such as MEASAT 3a, MEASAT 3b, and the CONNECTme rural broadband initiative. He also previously served as CTO of a Singapore-based satellite operator and began his career at Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (SingTel).

MEASAT delivers satellite solutions across Malaysia, Asia, and Australia, connecting over 500,000 Malaysians through CONNECTme, distributing DTH TV to 20 million viewers, and offering corporate networks, broadband, and Starlink services.
