KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has ruled that former prime minister Najib Razak must pay SRC International Sdn Bhd US$1.3 billion for breaching fiduciary duties. The ruling underscores Najib’s abuse of position and bad faith in orchestrating the scheme. An interim stay was granted while Najib files a formal application for a stay of execution pending appeal within 14 days. Costs will be determined later, marking a significant legal setback for Najib.
