Millennium Welt’s New EV Charging For MINI in Seremban

Millennium Welt has launched its first electric vehicle (EV) charging facility for the MINI brand in Seremban, in collaboration with Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd (MCHB).

The new facility, located at the main entrance parking of d’ Tempat Country Club, features an 11kWh Wallbox powered by ChargeEV, and is open to the public from 9:00AM to 11:00PM daily, with a standard rate of RM5 for every 20 minutes of use.

The installation of the MINI Charging Facility is part of Matrix Concepts’ larger vision to promote sustainable transportation and reduce carbon footprint.

The new charging facility from Millennium Welt is also in line with BMW Group Malaysia’s strategy to develop infrastructure for EV charging in partnership with local stakeholders.

EV Charging for Mini

BMW Group Malaysia has made over 670 charging facilities available for EV owners, with access to over 360 of these facilities provided through partnerships with ChargEV and Yinson Greentech, and over 65 charging facilities available through a partnership with JomCharge.

Bryan Wong, Managing Director of Millennium Welt, stated that the new charging facility supports the growing demand for more EV charging infrastructure in the area, and that Millennium Welt has already delivered over 140 electrified BMW and MINI vehicles.

Wong hopes that better access to charging facilities will increase customers’ confidence in the shift towards electromobility. Carmen Loo, Matrix Concepts Group General Manager of Corporate Secretarial, Governance and Sustainability, said that the collaboration with Millennium Welt is a perfect fit, as both companies share the same goals for sustainability.

New Ecosystem for EV Owners

The new MINI Charging Facility in Seremban is expected to electrify the ecosystem for EV owners in and around the neighbouring areas, providing greater access to charging infrastructure and supporting the development of townships in the region.

With the increasing popularity of electrified vehicles, the availability of more charging facilities will be essential in driving the transition to cleaner, more sustainable transportation in Malaysia.
