KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme has generated RM3.87 billion (S$1.25 billion) for the economy as of end-2025, according to the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry. The achievement was highlighted during the MM2H Appreciation Night on Feb 13, where 252 licensed operators and partners were recognised.
Since the revised policy in June 2024, the programme recorded 14,535 applications, including 5,239 principals and 9,296 dependants. China led with 7,600 applications, followed by Taiwan (2,419) and Hong Kong (604), with strong interest also from Singapore, the US and UK.
Economic contributions include participation fees, fixed deposits, and RM1.5 billion in property investments, expected to rise by another RM2.3 billion. Ecoworks Solutions received the Gold Award for best performance.
The ministry also announced digitalisation of applications and a promotional website, alongside a memorandum of understanding with the Bank of China to expand collaborations.
