Petronas Dagangan
KUCHING, Dec 26 – Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) yesterday acknowledged an operational incident at its Petronas Samarahan Expressway station that caused several vehicles to break down after refuelling.
In a statement issued on Dec 25, PDB confirmed the station was temporarily closed on Dec 24 for investigations but resumed operations the same day. The company emphasised that no other Petronas stations nationwide were affected.
“PDB takes this matter seriously and sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused,” the statement read, adding that affected customers are being contacted directly to resolve issues promptly.
Customers needing assistance can reach Mesralink at 1-300-88-8181.
The incident gained widespread attention on social media after reports emerged of cars and motorcycles stalling, with suspicions pointing to possible fuel contamination. PDB, a key downstream subsidiary of national oil giant Petronas, assured the public that fuel quality standards remain a priority across its network.
