PMW International secured an RM11.84 million POP2 contract to supply concrete poles, supporting Malaysia’s nationwide fibre network expansion and accelerating broadband connectivity for underserved communities nationwide.
PMW International Berhad has secured a RM11.84 million Supply and Delivery Agreement to provide pre-stressed spun concrete poles for Malaysia’s Point of Presence Phase 2 (POP2) Infrastructure and Fibre Optics Hub Project, strengthening the country’s broadband expansion efforts.
The contract, awarded to PMW Marketing Sdn. Bhd. by Global Technological Support Sdn. Bhd., runs until 31 October 2026 and supports the nationwide rollout of 3,693 POP sites designed to improve high-speed internet access in rural and underserved communities.
The POP2 initiative forms part of Malaysia’s Digital Framework 2030, which targets universal internet access in populated areas, 95% 5G coverage, and stronger fibre infrastructure to support future technologies, including AI-powered digital services and sovereign cloud capabilities.
PMW said the agreement is expected to contribute positively to the Group’s revenue and earnings for the financial year ending 31 December 2026. The latest contract follows a RM11.92 million spun pile supply order announced in May, reflecting continued demand for the company’s infrastructure products.
Chief Executive Officer Lee Hon Hwa said the agreement reinforces PMW’s role in supporting Malaysia’s telecommunications infrastructure while highlighting customer confidence in its product quality, operational capabilities and delivery performance across telecommunications, transportation and other critical infrastructure sectors nationwide.
