At RM60,000, Proton e.MAS 5 is the first affordable EV. Opens for booking at RM99

KUALA LUMPUR – Proton’s first fully electric hatchback, the e.MAS 5, is now open for booking in Malaysia for just RM99. Positioned as the country’s first affordable EV, the e.MAS 5 will be priced between RM60,000 and RM80,000. Pro-Net is offering early bird rewards for the first 5,000 customers, including a limited-edition Touch ‘n Go card preloaded with RM100 and a RM500 rebate.

Proton e.MAS 5 at RM60,000

Available in two variants — Prime and Premium — the e.MAS 5 offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 325km, a rear-wheel-drive setup, and a 14.6-inch Full HD infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Premium model adds ADAS, 16-inch alloys, and a powered tailgate. Charging supports up to 6.6kW AC and 71kW DC, achieving 30–80% in just 21 minutes.
