RHB and Bursa Malaysia Expand Investor Outreach in Melaka

MELAKA, Aug 8, 2026 — RHB Banking Group, in collaboration with Bursa Malaysia Berhad, hosted the RHB-Bursa Malaysia Retail Corporate Day 2026 in Melaka, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening investor engagement and broadening participation in Malaysia’s capital market. The event, officiated by Chief Minister Ab Rauf bin Yusoh, gathered more than 200 participants including investors, listed company representatives, market practitioners, and business leaders.

Investor Outreach

Mohd Rashid Mohamad, Group Managing Director and CEO of RHB Banking Group, highlighted the importance of platforms that allow investors to directly engage with businesses and market experts. “These conversations foster a more informed investing community and support the continued growth of Malaysia’s capital market,” he said.

Julian Mahmud Hashim, Chief Regulatory Officer of Bursa Malaysia, emphasized that participation, accessibility, and trust are the foundations of a strong capital market. He noted that the collaboration with RHB reflects a shared commitment to widening access and ensuring more Malaysians benefit from investment opportunities.

Economic outlook

The programme featured discussions on Malaysia’s economic outlook, market developments, and emerging investment opportunities, alongside showcases of RHB’s digital innovations such as RHB PAY, the country’s first bank-owned unified payment gateway, and RHB Reflex 2.0, an enhanced corporate internet banking platform.

Chief Minister Ab Rauf noted Melaka’s economic momentum, with GDP rising 3% to RM50.2 billion in 2025, driven by strong investment activity and strategic development initiatives.
