SINGAPORE, Oct 26 — Singapore and China signed and renewed several agreements on Saturday to strengthen cooperation in green development, the digital economy, maritime connectivity, and information and communications technology. The memoranda of understanding were exchanged during Chinese Premier Li Qiang’s two-day visit to Singapore. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong welcomed Li at Parliament House, marking 35 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Wong highlighted the steady growth and diversification of bilateral relations since 1990, while Li commended Singapore’s progress and reaffirmed China’s commitment to regional peace and stability. The leaders also discussed expanding collaboration through future projects and regional trade frameworks, including the upcoming ASEAN-China Free Trade Area 3.0 Upgrade to be signed at next week’s ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur.
