REHDA Institute Leads Malaysian Delegation to UK for Sustainable Urban Development
PETALING JAYA, March 17, 2026 — REHDA Institute is spearheading a high-level Malaysian delegation to the United Kingdom from March 19 to 25, focusing on sustainable urban regeneration, transit-oriented development, and housing reform. The mission, comprising senior developers, planners, legal experts, and government representatives, aims to gain global insights to strengthen Malaysia’s urban frameworks and housing policies.
Delegates will engage UK policymakers, architectural firms, and universities through four strategic forums. In London, discussions with Foster + Partners and Deputy Mayor Tom Copley will highlight regeneration strategies, while Trowers & Hamlins will provide comparative legal insights. In Bath, Wessex Water and YTL Developments will host a sustainability forum, followed by a Cambridge session with the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University on housing innovation.
Site visits to landmark UK projects, including Embassy Gardens and Royal Mint Gardens, will offer practical lessons. REHDA leaders emphasized translating these global experiences into actionable outcomes for Malaysia’s future cities.
