Kuala Lumpur, December 5, 2024 – Takeda Malaysia has signed an MoU with managed care organization MiCare and leading insurers (Great Eastern Life Malaysia, Tokio Marine Life Malaysia, MCIS Life, Hong Leong Assurance, and Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Keluarga Berhad) to enhance dengue prevention efforts. This collaboration aims to benefit up to 1.7 million policy/certificate holders by increasing access to dengue vaccination and integrated prevention strategies.
Comprehensive Prevention Strategy:

• Promoting vaccination alongside mosquito control measures to reduce dengue cases and hospitalizations.
Economic Impact:
• Dengue imposes a significant financial burden on Malaysia, costing approximately RM447 million annually.

• Expand access to dengue prevention resources.
• Empower communities to adopt integrated strategies, improving national health resilience.
