UMW Toyota Achieves Historic Fourth Consecutive Year Over 100,000 Sales in Malaysia

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) celebrated a landmark achievement, closing 2025 with 102,417 vehicle sales, including 14,284 units in December alone. This marks the fourth consecutive year surpassing 100,000 units, making Toyota the first and only non-national automotive brand in Malaysia to reach this milestone amid intensifying competition and rapid market electrification.

100,000 Sales

President Ravindran K. attributed the success to enduring customer trust, Toyota’s Multi-Pathway Approach offering diverse powertrains—from efficient ICE to hybrids—and a Customer First philosophy ensuring reliability and inclusivity.

In a market flooded with new entrants and shifting preferences, UMWT’s consistent performance highlights strong brand loyalty across generations. The company plans to expand its network, enhance service excellence, and introduce initiatives meeting evolving expectations, reinforcing Toyota’s commitment to practical, trusted mobility solutions for Malaysians.
