SHAH ALAM, March 4, 2025 – Worldwide Holdings Berhad (WHB) has fulfilled its obligation by paying business zakat amounting to RM2,900,000.00 to the Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) for the year 2025 (haul 2024).
The zakat payment from the Selangor conglomerate under PKNS was presented by WHB Group Chief Executive Officer, Datin Paduka Norazlina Zakaria, to His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor during the Business Zakat Payment Ceremony held today at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque (Selangor State Mosque).
According to Datin Paduka Norazlina, “We believe that the success of a company is not only measured in terms of profit but also in its contributions and social responsibility to the community. This zakat contribution is part of the Company’s long-term commitment to developing society in a sustainable and progressive manner, as well as strengthening social well-being in Selangor.”
WHB is committed to giving back to the people of Selangor and assisting LZS in realizing and expanding socio-economic development plans for the underprivileged (asnaf) community, such as education and social initiatives, particularly through various activities carried out under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, ‘Worldwide Prihatin.’ One such initiative includes a strategic collaboration between WHB and the Yayasan Raja Muda Selangor (YRMS) to provide educational aid for students under YRMS from underprivileged backgrounds.

This contribution has been utilized by the Foundation to upgrade the Raja Tun Uda Library, particularly by enhancing facilities for visitors with disabilities (OKU).
