Zaiton Mohd Hassan appointed VP of ACCA

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Zaiton Mohd Hassan, CEO of the Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC), has been appointed vice president of the global accountancy body ACCA, representing over 252,500 members across 180 countries. Known for championing social mobility, she leads MyPAC in supporting underprivileged students pursuing finance careers and chairs GX Bank, Malaysia’s first digital bank. Datuk Zaiton expressed pride in ACCA’s commitment to equitable opportunities and pledged to continue advancing this cause. Notably, for the first time, all three ACCA officer roles are held by women, marking a milestone in the organization’s history. She joined ACCA’s Council in 2016.
